CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT, & Chief executive officer

Bradley I. Meier is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of New Paradigm. Mr. Meier previously served as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: UVE) from November 1990 to February 2013. During his time at Universal Insurance Holdings, Mr. Meier also served as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Universal Insurance Holdings, from April 1997 to February 2013. Under his leadership, Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company became the largest non-state-owned writer of homeowner’s insurance policies in the State of Florida. In March 2013, Mr. Meier co-founded New Paradigm, the leading global parametric insurance specialist, to focus on closing the global natural disaster protection gap. In December 2020, Mr. Meier assumed the positions of Chief Executive Officer and President of New Paradigm and its subsidiaries. Mr. Meier received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.


CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER & Chief underwriting Officer

Gloria Hendrickson is the Chief Operating Officer & Chief Underwriting Officer for New Paradigm. Ms. Hendrickson brings over 28 years of insurance, reinsurance, catastrophe risk and modeling, and data analytics to New Paradigm. Ms. Hendrickson spent the first 20 years of her career at Munich Re in various capacities, with the last 10 years being dedicated to catastrophe modeling and accumulation. During this tenure, she supported the insurance, reinsurance, and specialty markets divisions with pricing, accumulation, and policy holder data audits. Prior to joining New Paradigm, Ms. Hendrickson also served as Senior VP of Risk for American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida, a leading Florida domestic homeowners insurance provider. At American Integrity, Ms. Hendrickson managed the risk and accumulation for its personal lines book of business, worth over $250 million, including its reinsurance purchasing. She was also instrumental in implementing the first CAT bonds in American Integrity’s reinsurance structure. Ms. Hendrickson’s experience in the industry allows her to propose unique coverage and insurance solutions for prospective and current clients of New Paradigm.


SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & DIRECTOR OF SPECIALTY INSURANCE PROGRAMS

Mark Groenheide is the Senior Vice President & Director of Specialty Insurance Programs at New Paradigm. Mr. Groenheide leads the company’s specialty insurance expansion, focusing on parametric and traditional solutions for technical risk classes of business, terrorism, and natural catastrophes. Mr. Groenheide previously served as Vice President for Builders Risk at Zurich Insurance Group, where he specialized in crafting insurance solutions for leading contractors on the East Coast and beyond. Following his time at Zurich, Mr. Groenheide became Senior Vice President for North American Engineering & Technical Lines at HDI Global Insurance Company in 2015. At HDI Global, Mr. Groenheide created and grew a surplus lines insurance carrier to support risks for its Engineering & Technical lines division. In 2019, Mr. Groenheide then became President of CGA Insurance Services where he managed and underwrote more than $90 million in premiums, while creating multiple MGUs to expand the reach of CGA’s offerings. Mr. Groenheide is a graduate of the College of Charleston in South Carolina.


EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT of business development

Evan D. Bull is an Executive Vice President of Business Development at New Paradigm, where he is focused on business development, including developing broker and market relationships. Before joining New Paradigm, Mr. Bull was a Managing Director with Beecher Carlson in New York City, where he focused on new business opportunities for Property, Executive Liability, Workers Compensation, and Captive Management insurance with Fortune 500 Companies. Mr. Bull also previously worked at Marsh, becoming Managing Director for its U.S. Property Practice, and specializing in insurance solutions for the hospitality & real estate industries. During his over 25 years at Marsh, Mr. Bull led teams of property brokers, while also handling individual account responsibilities for new and existing global and domestic property programs – including processing catastrophic claims caused by Hurricanes Irene, Matthew, Katrina, and Superstorm Sandy. Mr. Bull’s tenure at Marsh enabled him to be directly involved in managing large middle market accounts and many of the country's largest global risk management clients. Mr. Bull attended The College of Insurance in New York City.


DIRECTOR OF ACTUARIAL & RISK ANALYTICS

Crystal Maragh is the Director of Actuarial and Risk Analytics at New Paradigm, where she is focused on product and infrastructure development. Ms. Maragh was instrumental in the creation and execution of Shake and Pay, earthquake insurance for residential and commercial clients, including the online quoting portal for producers. Prior to joining New Paradigm, Ms. Maragh has worked with a variety of Florida domestic insurers as an actuarial analyst skilled in pricing and reserving, product development and implementation, advanced analytics, business intelligence, and data mining. During her career, Ms. Maragh has prepared filing exhibits and preformed detailed analysis to meet regulatory requirements of the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation. Ms. Maragh has also assisted in the development and implementation of policy management systems, business platforms, pricing and forecasting models, and agency reporting. Ms. Maragh received a B.S. in Actuarial Science from Florida State University.


IN-HOUSE COUNsEL

Cole Baldecchi is In-House Counsel at New Paradigm, where he is focused on ensuring the company's compliance with applicable regulations and statutes, drafting insurance policy forms, and providing guidance on a plethora of other legal and corporate matters facing the company. Prior to joining New Paradigm, Mr. Baldecchi saw first-hand the legal, financial, and corporate governance challenges faced by growing and emerging companies during his time working in the legal departments for technology start-ups in California and Florida. During his career, Mr. Baldecchi advised large corporations and organizations in a variety of legal matters, including employment issues and regulatory compliance. Mr. Baldecchi earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was an Associate Editor of the Inter-American Law Review. Mr. Baldecchi received his B.A. in History & Political Science from the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA). Mr. Baldecchi is an active member of the Florida Bar.


CONTROLLER

Frank Hurban is the Controller at New Paradigm, where he oversees the firm’s operational accounting, leads the production of consolidated financial reports, and maintains New Paradigm’s accounting system. Mr. Hurban is an accomplished accounting professional with over 25 years of experience, previously  working at both large and small companies across several industries – including the construction, telecommunications, law, and insurance industries. In 2021, Mr. Hurban joined New Paradigm after relocating from New York City. Mr. Hurban graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in Accounting.


ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER & HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR

Janet Conde is the Accounts Payable Manager and Human Resources Director at New Paradigm. She also provides direct support to the Chairman, President, and CEO of New Paradigm. Prior to assuming these roles, Mrs. Conde spent over 20 years as the Executive Assistant to President and CEO of Universal Insurance Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries, while also serving as the Human Resource Director, Accounts Payables Manager at Universal.  Mrs. Conde holds a B.A. in Business Administration, with a focus on Human Resource Management.


Assistant Vice President of Business Development

Francesca Finucane is the Assistant Vice President of Business Development for New Paradigm. Ms. Finucane earned a M.A. in Psychology from Adler University & received a B.A. in Psychology from the University of San Diego – where she was a member of the Swimming & Diving Team. She previously served as a Specialty Underwriter at GuideOne Insurance Company, working across the Specialty products in Property, Energy, Construction, and D&O. Francesca’s diverse professional background, brings a unique perspective to the NPU team.
